Many of these carbon fiber cases are very thin and minimally padded, this case is well padded and should offer great protection.The top and bottom have 1/4 - 3/8" of firm padding.When closed there's not much wiggle room inside. The inner pocket wouldn't be useful for more than some papers or a booklet. The iPad is well secured inside with the Velcro straps and padding.A foldable Bluetooth keyboard or a Frogpad fits in the outer pocket easily. (7.5 x 5 x 1.5 inches pocket interior)I'm really trying to find some negatives about this case but am coming up empty-handed.There was a loose thread, but it's plastic so I melted it off with a lighter and now it won't come unstitched. ...
